Today I had the great pleasure in presenting my pupil Isobel with her ABRSM Grade 1 Merit certificate.
For her first exam, Isobel put in a lot of practice and good preparation, balancing her commitments to piano education and her other interests.
For her piece from List C, No. 1, Happy Day the examiner wrote ‘The playing here had real drive and tone was mostly well shaped with a well controlled ending.’
I would like to thank Isobel for her hard work as we finalised his preparation in the lead-up to the exam and also her parents for having confidence in me to teach their son.
Now, the hard work starts all over again as we prepare for Grade 2!
