I recently had the great pleasure of presenting my pupil Ron with his ABRSM Piano Grade 1 Merit certificate.
Ron came to me as a complete beginner. He told me he had no musical knowledge and that was something he had always regretted. Now retired and with some spare time on his hands, he wondered if he had left it too late to start to learn to play piano. I am happy to say that the answer is, obviously, no as he passed with flying colours.
I would like to thank Ron for his hard work as we finalised his preparation in the lead-up to the exam.
Now, the hard work starts all over again as we prepare for Grade 2!
