Shine Festival 2019

I am sad to report that the Piano Competition section of this year’s Shine Festival has been cancelled.

I received the following email from the organisers –

Dear All

It is with great regret that I am emailing to inform you that the competitive solo and ensemble sections of the festival will not be taking place this year. These include:

Piano – 27th April
Instrumental and ensemble – 4th May
Vocal – 5th May

Please note: the schools day, choirs day and bands/songwriters sections are still taking place on 7th and 11th May.
There will not be a finale performance on 12th May.

There are multiple reasons for this, and I can only offer my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

I would like to reassure you that this is certainly not the end of the festival, it is simply under review and I’m very hopeful that it will be back in full force in 2020.

You are most welcome to come along to the sections of the festival which are still running – we have a choir marathon of 20 choirs performing on 11th May, which will still be a real treat.

Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience. I thank you for your support this year, and in previous years.

All of my pupils who were going to take part in the competition should have received their entry fee refund by now.

If you would like to take your very first piano lesson or add to your existing piano education, please book a lesson with me today, you can book online.
