Anna Peszko meets Roman Rabinovich

On the 7th April 2018, I had the pleasure to attend a concert in the National Music Forum in Wroclaw, Poland. The NFM Orchestra were conducted by Joseph Swensen with a special guest appearance by Roman Rabinovich.

The eloquent pianist Roman Rabinovich, a top prizewinner at the 12th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 2008, has since been highly lauded by The New York Times, BBC Music Magazine, the San Francisco Classical Voice and others. He has performed throughout Europe and the United States in venues such as Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Centre in New York, the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, the Cité de la Musique in Paris, and the Millennium Stage of Kennedy Centre in Washington DC.

The program consisted of J. Haydn Symfonia C-dur nr 82 „Niedźwiedź” Hob. I:82, Koncert fortepianowy D-dur Hob. XVIII:11 and L. van Beethoven IV Symfonia B-dur op. 60.

Roman’s performance was wonderful. He is one of the new generation of master pianists and he brought a new interpretation to the famous pieces. After the concert we had a nice chat about his playing style and I, of course, had to ask his for his autograph!

Below you can see a few photos from the concert.

If you get chance to see Roman play, I encourage you to attend one of his performances.
