I am thrilled to announce that my pupil, Adelyn, has recently passed her ABRSM Grade 2 Piano Performance exam with distinction. Adelyn has been working hard towards this goal for months, and I am proud of her for achieving such a fantastic result.

Adelyn started learning piano when she was only seven years old, and she quickly fell in love with the instrument. She has always been a dedicated student, practicing regularly and taking her lessons seriously. She worked with me to perfect her technique and learn new pieces in preparation for the Piano Performance exam.

The pieces Adelyn performed for the exam were:

  1. Agnieszka Lasko’s Tarantella (from Little Stories)
  2. Stephen Duro’s Forget-me-not Waltz
  3. David Blackwell’s Railroad Blues
  4. Rybicki’s An Orphan’s Song

Adelyn practiced diligently and was able to perform each piece with skill and artistry.

During the exam, Adelyn played with excellent phrasing and expressive tone, communicating the atmosphere of each piece convincingly. Despite some slight unevenness in places, her performance flowed smoothly and had considerable shape and subtle contour, making it an impressive accomplishment. The examiner congratulated Adelyn on a job well done.

Adelyn’s dedication and persistence paid off when she received her results: a distinction, which is the highest possible grade for the exam. Passing an ABRSM exam with distinction is a significant accomplishment, and it reflects the hard work and talent that Adelyn possesses.

I am incredibly proud of Adelyn for achieving such a fantastic result. Her dedication to her music studies is inspiring, and I can’t wait to see where her musical journey takes her next.
